Group Fitness (GX) Classes at PNW Fitness

offers over 35 classes a week.  From Strength based workouts like Les Mills Bodypump, to Cardio classes, like Total Body Conditioning and Les Mills Bodyattack, to Dance, Yoga, Cycling and More,   There is something for everyone.  We offer 30 min, 45 min and 55 min classes to allow you to maximize your busy schedule.

  • Mat Pilates

    This class will transform you from the inside out. The exercises of Joseph Pilates bring focus to proper alignment and breath to free your movement and make it effortless.

    with Monica   Monica been in the fitness industry on and off for 14 years. She started out as a personal trainer but due to a couple of training set backs,  began to take up Pilates and indoor cycling. It was here that she developed a love for group fitness immediately.  Using her fitness knowledge and talents, her goal is to help members improve there lives in anyway. Monica is a Les Mills RPM and CXWORX instructor as well as a pilates, and cycling instructor as well as teaches Total Body Condition (TBC).     Traci is certified in Les Mills CXWORX and has been teaching for 4 years. Her fitness journey is a boring one...she has always sought out fitness classes as a way to stay motivated in her fitness routine. As  a Chiropractor, Traci was looking for  a way to get more involved with supporting health and wellness. Helping people strengthen their core fit perfectly with her Chiropractic care of the spine.
    Movement is key to a healthy nervous system, all joint health, and overall the key to aging well.
    When not in the gym or at the office, Traci loves being outside around Seattle, playing sports, gardening, or cooking some healthy food.

    with Sara To get away from her sedentary life as a software engineer, Sara hit her local gym and attended her first ever Les Mills BODYCOMBAT class back in 2013. She fell in love with the program and all the kicks and punches immediately. She was very inspired by her instructors and the results she got from attending classes. One of the aspects of group fitness that Sara loves has been working out together as one and making great friendships with other members. This Love help push Sara to get certified in BODYCOMBAT in 2015 and a year later in BODYPUMP. She is very passionate about pushing her members to the place they never thought they could get.     ® is a high-energy fitness class with moves that combine athletic movements like running, lunging and jumping with strength exercises such as push-ups and squats. Great for all levels from casual runner to athlete.

    Tom is our Group Fitness Manager and has been teaching group fitness for over 5 years.  Tom is certified by Les Mills in 7 Programs and is passionate about the philosophy and science that is put into their workouts.  Tom's fitness story started back in 2010 when he was 380 lbs.  Over two years group fitness, exercise and diet played a huge roll in his weight loss. Now he shares his journey by teaching and loves to help members achieve their goals and find their love of movement no matter the class. When not teaching, you can find Tom spending time with his partner and their two dogs, exploring their city, or out and about trying all the great eateries Seattle has to offer.     Stuart has been teaching fitness for about 3 years, and loves how group fitness has really helped her strength and fitness.  She is certified in Les Mills RPM, Bodypump, and recently added CXWORX.  When not teaching, Stuart remains very active and loves hiking and hanging out with her dog and friends.  Come check out a class with Stuart Every other Sunday 9:15AM Bodypump and 10:30AM RPM or Every Tuesday at 6:15AM for Bodypump.

    This dance class is open to anyone that wants to learn multiple disciples and styles of dance from pop, jazz, to classical If you want to dance to the beat in your heart, This class is perfect for you!

    with Andra

    Andra is a long time instructor with the PNW Fitness family.  Urban Dance is Andra's creation designed to make working out fun! Andra began dance lessons at age 7 and performed in talent shows and school events. While completing her bachelor’s degree in communications at the University of Washington, she also studied dance. She once took four subway trains in New York to attend a dance class at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Her enthusiasm quickly turned to terror when she realized she was surrounded by mostly company dancers.  Andra has continued to develop her dance skills over the years and share her passion for creative movement through Urban Dance. Andra believes dance should be fun and accessible to everyone. Andra has a strong interest in health, fitness and sports and plays competitive tennis. When not teaching you can find Andra at The Seattle Public Library where she is the Communications Director and promotes educational opportunity and intellectual freedom for all.  Come Check out Urban Dance with Andra on Tuesday's at 5:50PM

    Ana began taking Les Mills classes 10 years ago. She wanted to add some variety to her gym routine, and found a sense of community in group fitness that kept her coming back. Her classmates challenged her to work harder and try more classes, which kept her engaged. She saw significant improvement in her own fitness, and decided she wanted to share that experience with others. Five years ago, Ana became certified in RPM, and a year later, in BodyPump. One of the reasons she chose to teach Les Mills classes is how inclusive they are, for participants of all fitness levels. In her instruction, she incorporates cues that are helpful to both beginner and advanced participants, so everyone can focus on continuous improvement. Seeing people push themselves harder, and encourage others around them to do the same, is her favorite part about being an instructor.

    Tiffani began practicing yoga as she was a young child when she started copying the poses she saw in her Mother's yoga book.  She developed a serious practice in 1998 when yoga changed her life – bringing it a sense of peace, clarity and joy.  Since completing a teacher training and apprenticeship at Jai Ma Yoga studio in Seattle, she has studied with a number of renowned yoga teachers such as Seane Corn, Ana Forrest, and Tiffany Cruikshank and continues to draw inspiration from her teacher trainings with Shiva Rea and Rod Stryker.  With over 17 years of teaching experience, she brings a sense of humor and non-judgement to her playful classes.  In addition to yoga, Tiffani has a B.A. from the University of Washington, theater training, and has studied various styles of dance, Muy Thai, aikido, and boxing.

  • LES MILLS BODYATTACK/CXWORX *Low Impact Fusion*This special class will focus on the low impact options and choices to maximize intensity of these 2 formats, with about 25 mins of cardio and 20 mins of strength and core training training you get a great cross training workout and its great for beginners. with Tom

    This workout combines high energy and motivating music with synchronized dance movements designed for any fitness level. Want to burn some calories and have fun? Then Zumba is for you!

    with Caleb Caleb is a recent transplant from Phoenix, but born and raised in New Jersey.  He has been an instructor for three years, after his line dance students pleaded with him to add Zumba into their class offerings.  After becoming licensed, he was addicted to the energy and joy he received from seeing his students take a journey around the globe through music and dancing.  He is certified by the American Council on Exercise as a group fitness instructor and loves being a student in other classes!  When he isn't moving to the music, he enjoys traveling, running half and full marathons, and cooking.  Come shake it with Caleb every Thursday night at 5:50 PM. 5:50 pm to 6:50 pm

    Jenn Jarstad started teaching fitness classes in January 2009.  However, Jenn had been teaching much longer then that as a mountain guide on Mt Shasta in 2000.  As an avid mountain climber for many years   all over the West Coast and abroad, Jenn discovered one of the most magnificent experiences was to assist other climbers in taking on the challenge of a high altitude climb.  To see someone discover their physical potential and achieve a goal was such an inspiring and thrilling experience for her and ultimately what lead her to want to help people in the gym as well. Join Jenn on Thursdays at 5:50PM for Cycling or 6:55PM for Bodypump or every other Saturday at 9:15AM for Cycling.

    Sina is a certified LesMills BODYPUMP and RPM instructor. He has been teaching group fitness classes since early 2016. In his main career as a Software Engineer, he always felt the need for more physical activities to boost up his energy levels. Inspired by LesMills programs and great instructors, he observed the effect of group exercise in his daily life and he started his journey to become an instructor. He is very passionate about teaching. He is always looking for new ways to provide a better experience for his class members and help them achieve their fitness goals. In his spare time, he loves riding his bicycle or motorcycle, running, and hiking.

    with Ana M.ANA MALVAEZ is USA National BODYCOMBAT TRAINER/ LES MILLS Fitness Instructor. REEBOK Athlete/Ambassador. She has been active in the fitness industry for over 13 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications.  NATIONAL BODYCOMBAT® TRAINER since 2014 and Fitness Instructor for over 12 years. She has been teaching group exercise since her teens and had the opportunity to perform training routines in small and large groups. She is a fitness Instructor for LES MILLS GRIT®, BODYPUMP®, BODYFLOW®,CXWORX®, RPM® and BODYPUMP® THE TRIP®. She also presents BODYCOMBAT® and LES MILLS GRIT®. She holds numerous certifications from ACE, AFAA, SilverSneakers, Gravity and more.Her Goal: Inspire and share her love for fitness with everyone she trains to improve their lifestyle in different levels and find the better version of themselves. 10:20 am to 11:20 am

    Jill is a longtime member and instructor here at Capitol Hill.  With many hours behind her practice, Jill's class philosophy is Yoga’s overarching purpose is to stabilize and clarify the mind.  Jill really likes being part of this process to help our members achieve this balance.  "It’s like watching a plant grow and I like being part of it."  When not teaching Yoga, Jill enjoys  gardening, swimming and staying active in the club.  Come See Jill on Sundays at 11:30AM.

  • LES MILLS RPM®

    ® is an indoor cycling class, set to the rhythm of motivating music. It burns a lot of calories and gets you fit.

    with Robert Robert is a certified Les Mills instructor in RPM®, BODYPUMP®, and  and BODYCOMBAT®.  Group fitness is Robert's favorite relaxation from his day job at Amazon.  He got hooked on group fitness when his wife brought him to a BODYPUMP® class in 2005.  He decided to become an instructor in 2011 to maintain his commitment to fitness when his first son was born.  You Can find Robert on Mondays at 6:15 AM for RPM, where Robert say "It's the best way to start your week!" 6:15 am to 7:15 am

    Besides an RPM and cycling certified instructor, John is a former ski school director and ski area manager, and is a certified alpine, Nordic, and snowboard instructor.  He also has started the former mountain biking center on Snoqualmie Pass.  John has management and consulting experience in the ski and fitness industries, theme parks, and he even started a professional theatre company (Sidecountry Theatre) here in Seattle.  He is currently an advisor and occasional docent for the new Washington State Ski and Snowboard Museum on Snoqualmie Pass, and also directs an on-mountain guiding program in Whistler for one week every January.

    When Not teaching you can find John in his other world as an administrator at UW where he is currently  consulting in the Department of Global Health.  Come Check out a cycling class with John on Monday's at 6:55PM or Wednesday mornings at 6:15AM.

She started out as a personal trainer but due to a couple of training set backs,  began to take up Pilates and indoor cycling. It was here that she developed a love for group fitness immediately.  Using her fitness knowledge and talents, her goal is to help members improve there lives in anyway. Monica is a Les Mills RPM and CXWORX instructor as well as a pilates, and cycling instructor as well as teaches Total Body Condition (TBC).     Ana began taking Les Mills classes 10 years ago. She wanted to add some variety to her gym routine, and found a sense of community in group fitness that kept her coming back. Her classmates challenged her to work harder and try more classes, which kept her engaged. She saw significant improvement in her own fitness, and decided she wanted to share that experience with others. Five years ago, Ana became certified in RPM, and a year later, in BodyPump. One of the reasons she chose to teach Les Mills classes is how inclusive they are, for participants of all fitness levels. In her instruction, she incorporates cues that are helpful to both beginner and advanced participants, so everyone can focus on continuous improvement. Seeing people push themselves harder, and encourage others around them to do the same, is her favorite part about being an instructor.

    Jenn Jarstad started teaching fitness classes in January 2009.  However, Jenn had been teaching much longer then that as a mountain guide on Mt Shasta in 2000.  As an avid mountain climber for many years   all over the West Coast and abroad, Jenn discovered one of the most magnificent experiences was to assist other climbers in taking on the challenge of a high altitude climb.  To see someone discover their physical potential and achieve a goal was such an inspiring and thrilling experience for her and ultimately what lead her to want to help people in the gym as well. Join Jenn on Thursdays at 5:50PM for Cycling or 6:55PM for Bodypump or every other Saturday at 9:15AM for Cycling.

    Kimmy T (Kim Talley) hails from NY originally but lived in the Washington DC metro area for two decades before making the great trip west to Seattle 2 short years ago. A former ACE certified personal trainer, boxer, and martial artist, Kim started teaching at a local DC gym back in '94 when a regular instructor fell ill and threw her the keys to the stereo along with a cassette tape to teach a fitness boxing class. Fast forward to her initial Bodypump training in 2000, and she was off and running with various Les Mills and freestyle programs. She is certified in Les Mills Bodyattack, Bodycombat, CXWORX, Bodypump, and RPM. In addition, Kimmy T loves to compete in kettlebells and spend time with her family (including two dogs). She's definitely your Coach at the front of the room and is invested in getting you the workout you need through instruction on great form, humor, and encouragement.  Come see Kimmy T in action on Friday's at 6:15AM

    with Evann/Jenn Evann is a long time PNW fitness Member from Capitol Hill, that loved GX classes so much he took the plunge to become certified cycling instructor.  Evann is very passionate about teaching and designs his classes with great music and powerful motivation behind his coaching.  When not teaching, you can find Evann participating and supporting his teammates in their classes, and hard at work on keeping Capitol Hill beautiful by working with local artists to create murals to promote social growth.  Come check out Evann's class every other Saturday at 9:15AM.

    Sina is a certified LesMills BODYPUMP and RPM instructor. He has been teaching group fitness classes since early 2016. In his main career as a Software Engineer, he always felt the need for more physical activities to boost up his energy levels. Inspired by LesMills programs and great instructors, he observed the effect of group exercise in his daily life and he started his journey to become an instructor. He is very passionate about teaching. He is always looking for new ways to provide a better experience for his class members and help them achieve their fitness goals. In his spare time, he loves riding his bicycle or motorcycle, running, and hiking.

      Stuart has been teaching fitness for about 3 years, and loves how group fitness has really helped her strength and fitness.  She is certified in Les Mills RPM, Bodypump, and recently added CXWORX.  When not teaching, Stuart remains very active and loves hiking and hanging out with her dog and friends.  Come check out a class with Stuart Every other Sunday 9:15AM Bodypump and 10:30AM RPM or Every Tuesday at 6:15AM for Bodypump.
